Still summer, another bright color to wear on nails & toes! YaY!

  • for nails: Sephora nail polish in Green Generation
  • for toes: Farmec nail polish in Pool Party

The nail polishes from Sephora in this older formula have such a great coverage. Here, the nails are done by applying only one coat of nail polish. The results are amazing and it’s totally opaque on nails after just one coat. This shade in particular is also easy to apply with the wider brush that the Sephora nail polishes have. It can be a little harder to get the lines straight, since this is a slightly metallic shade and leaves some fine lines on the nails.

The only downside is that it seems to last less time on the nails, but it might be because I have this bottle for a pretty long time. Another reason might be that the base coat I used, the one from Sephora, doesn’t seem to stick very well on the nails and can cause the nail polish to peel off faster.

Unfortunately, the newer Sephora nail polishes have a very liquid formula that is not very pigmented. I have trouble with the application of those, and even after three coats, some were still see through. I am sad that this older formula cannot be found in the stores anymore.

About the Farmec nail polish I can say that’s a cute summery blue shade and it applies very smooth and clean. The brush is smaller and you can have a better precision at the application. It required two coats of nail polish, but the results are very neat. I like a lot the creamier shades from Farmec, since they are very easy to apply and they last for about a week on the nails. Also, they are extremely cheap, at about 5 lei each.
